The nicest woman did not get her name, sorry but she answered the phone at AM -- night owl here -- gave me the best service and wished me a good night. I don't think someone with this type of attitude should be working a welcome desk to a lounge for the higher end guests of the casino. She is 1 foot away from me I keep asking if there is a way to get wifi here to check my email to give her my confirmation number. This had never happened before and I did not know the card had expired; in fact, I had been just using the card in a machine before this with no problem. While there, the previous girl who told us to "get another owner" kept interjecting into the conversation we were having wtih the two gentlemen. I guess he did not realize I was sitting there watching him. In the casino- we were there 2 hours playing slot machine and could not find or flag down a waitress. Then someone calls him to a table next to us and when i ask what he had learned about my comp. So she asked for my reservation number I am trying to find on my phone cant get a signal. I say "It must be, or it is taken". We stay here a couple times a year for a little gaming and to get away. He said you have plenty of play time just put on your bill and pay when you check out. These ladies were kind, considerate, and courteous, and they saved the day and our trip with their efforts. Needless to say, I did not go back to the lounge after experiencing what felt like my being a criminal walking in there. Hotel is half empty, plenty of rooms, and where did she put me facing parking garage. I ask pit boss to help me get casino manager or help me get a comp for food as many many people do for the buffet but i wanted mine for room service. L'Auberge is a gorgeous resort and is always clean and well tended. I did not tip him and i hope he understands that's life sometimes. Ok Then I was to have premium queen facing pool room. She just didn't take the time to check. She stated I had to go to the MyChoice desk and get a new card. I guess he really didn't grasp the meaning of getting a comp. We have forwarded your comments to all appropriate departments for review and thank you once again for being our guest. It would have paid better for them to comp my meal. We went to the MyChoice desk, where two new gentlemen were working, and my friend got another card for me. Well i guess i will have to pay because i cant get a signal to give you my confirmation number. She say oh no I have it right here in a bored put out tone of voice. I had to cancel our Sept. After gambling all day and night I am wanting room service because all places are closed and we are tired. I did not want to pay 10 for wifi as it is cheaper to buy data from phone company. I wasn't looking for anything special. Imagine how great she must be if you're checking in! I asked for a supervisor, and she went into her drawer again and gave me a business card. He tells me he has not had time to check. We're sorry to see your experience was not perfect, and we are following up with all the necessary departments to ensure a better guest experience in the future. But this is about the courtesy given to me when I cancelled that reservation. Be forewarned that you may have to show your ID and your card might be confiscated if they don't think it is good. I finally leave my machine to go to the bar and the bar back ask how I am doing and I said good but can't find a waitress and i have been here for 2 hours. All the employees I had contact with had very lazy attitude toward just doing the job they are there for. Check in -they didn't have my reservation or so she said. We were waiting for our friend, the Owner's Club member, but she did not care and told us to wait outside. We had never been treated this way before. On the other hand, some of the exceptional employees here and there are many this trip were Gabby in the VIP check-in, Emily at the adult pool, and Deidre at the credit office. I also like how they have two complimentary coffee and cola stations. I told them this and asked for the correct card. Not sure how they treat people but from what i got at L'auberge De Lac on August 25 and 26th it can't get much worse. I call down and ask why i could not have room i had reserved and asked for, she said it must be taken. Later i find at least 4 rooms were available at time of check in. I am a foot away from her. We have been there many times over the years and have always been welcome. We have never had a problem with our card until this trip. How refreshing, right? I will never return and will spend my money at Golden Nugget next door which has so much more to offer. They have lots of comps so be sure to get a member's card. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and we sincerely apologize that we did not achieve this during your stay. I didn't want a maybe or pay when you check out. He proceeds to chit chat laugh cut up with co workers. When I asked what to do, one girl said to me, "Go find a new owner. We have been coming here for several years and like it very much. Yes for 10 dollars she said. In many casinos they send you coupons for gaming etc but here you don't have to keep track of the gaming coupons because they show up in your member area on many of the machines. Tre the bar back responds with "That's life sometimes" LOL well yes it is Tre' but that isn't the attitude a paying customer wants to hear. They said this was the correct card, and would not give me the right one. I asked her, so why are you having me pay for wifi to look up my email for confirmation number. I then left the lounge, discarded the business card, and called my friend, who immediately came down from his suite. The rooms are very nice especially the ones that have been remodeled. Leaning on desk having what is obviously casual conversation with coworker she walks off he standing there looking in away from me for 10min - 15min this goes on. She then proceeded to forcefully take the card off my lanyard, threw it into a drawer, handed my lanyard back to me, and told me the card was expired. I asked about this, and she said it was her supervisor's card, but he was not on property and at home, and I could call him. This may seem like a strange review, but it went so well that I wanted to share it. Thank you for your review. She gives me info on how to get wifi and while i am doing that i hear her talking on the phone with someone and she gives them a confirmation number. NONE of that was possible with this lazy crew. I took my lanyard off with my card attached and handed it to her.
